Spring Break at Sloan Museum & Longway Planetarium is full of exciting activities to do. There are special programs and fun exhibits and galleries to explore. See all the details below.

Exhibit at Sloan Museum

Videotopia-Actually play the classic video games you know and love, just like in an arcade! Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Q*Bert are just few of the names of the more than 70 games that are coming to Sloan Museum. Check out the list to find your favorite.

Spring Break Programs

Design your own Spring Break Camp with these programs. Register for one program or register for all three days!

Marker Robots
Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2015
Time: 9:00- 12:00pm
Ages: 1st- 3rd Grades
Fee: $10
Location: Sloan Museum
Build a robot that draws using simple materials. Afterward, explore our Videotopia exhibition, and play your favorite classic games from the past.  Additional tokens are available for purchase at the Museum, and participants can also win additional tokens by correctly answering trivia questions in the exhibition. Pre-registration required. Register online. Note: There is a fee of $2 for all online purchases.

Kites and Flight
Date:  Wednesday, April 8, 2015
Time:  9:00- 12:00pm
Ages:  4th- 6th Grades
Fee:  $9
Location:  Longway Planetarium
Build and fly a beautiful tetrahedral kite, fold your favorite paper airplane, and investigate rockets while exploring the properties of air.Pre-registration required. Register online. Note: There is a fee of $2 for all online purchases.

Windy Weather!

Ages:  1st- 3rd Grades

Location:  Longway Planetarium
Explore air and weather!  Make easy to build and easy to fly kites.  Make a weather window to help you identify cloud types while learning how clouds are made and why they move. Pre-registration required. Register online. Note: There is a fee of $2 for all online purchases.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Show Schedule at Longway Planetarium

Due to renovations of the planetarium theater, there are no public shows. There will be field trips in our Portable Dome Theater as well as our science programs. We will resume shows for the public after the renovation is complete, which is expected to be in May 2015.
