Flint Faience and Tile Company

AC Spark Plug Company founded Flint Faience & Tile Company in 1921 to create custom decorative tiles for residential and commercial buildings in their Harriet Street factory. The company had the ceramic expertise, the kilns, and talented designers, such as Julio Haro, to create the fashionable designs. In 1933, General Motors closed the tile operation.
