Telescope Workshop

Fee: $10 individual, $25 per family (up to 4 people)
Find out how to properly use your telescope with this interactive workshop presented by Longway Planetarium Astronomer, Richard Walker. Explore different types of telescopes, eye pieces, Barlow’s and calculating
magnifications. Discover how to line up the finder scope, what to look at and what you actually see. Also discover useful magazines, charts, books and other publications. Ages 8 and up suggested. Pre-registration required. Reserve your space early as space is limited.
Star Party

Age: 4 and up

Head
inside the dome and journey to the skies above in a star show. After
the show, if the sky is clear, we will take our telescopes outside the
planetarium to look at amazing objects in the sky. Check out planets,
the Moon, and star clusters. If you would like to bring your own
telescope, you may set it up.
